Turkish footballer scores hat-trick for the rival team


It was a bad day for a local football club playing in western Sakarya province's Amateur League as one of its footballers volleyed the ball into his own team for three times in Sunday's match.Defense player Atilla Erik bagged three goals for the Çamlıca Belde football club in the match against Kuzuluk Ersoy, however, the only problem being he was playing for Kuzuluk.The odds were on Kuzuluk's side as the team finished the first half with a 1-0 lead but Erik's first own goal, which he scored with his head, in the 48th minute, launched his opponents into a 1-1 tie.Erik then sent the ball into his team's nest one more time in the 70th minute and completed his "hat-trick" for Çamlıca in the 80th minute as he bagged another goal into the wrong end while trying to keep the ball out of the penalty area.The match ended with a 5-2 victory for Çamlıca Belde.The chairman of Kuzuluk Ersoy, Murat Kuruoğlu made a statement following the competition, saying that Erik experienced all possible misfortunes during the match and that he apologized to all team.
