Arda wouldn't leave for China even if offered, his agent says

The agent of Barcelona's Turkish midfielder Arda Turan denied reports that the 29-year-old player was the latest target of a wealthy Chinese club, adding he wouldn't leave Barcelona even if he was offered.

Turkish media outlets claimed that Arda was offered a 100 million euros transfer deal by Beijing Guoan where Burak Yılmaz, from his former team Galatasaray, is set to join.

Speaking to Mundo Deportive, his agent Ahmet Bulut said there hasn't been an offer and Turan wouldn't leave Barcelona, whom he joined in the summer of last year. He said Turan wouldn't leave after the season ends.

Last year, Turan signed a contract with Barcelona until 2020 but a transfer ban delayed his debut in Barcelona. He took to the pitch with his new team as the second half of the season began and has played eight games so far. He joined the team from Atletico Madrid after a transfer deal worth 41 million euros. Burak Yılmaz, who Arda is acquainted with from his years with Turkish teams, was the latest Turkish player heading to China after Beşiktaş's Ersan Adem Gülüm joined Hebei China Fortune. Yılmaz reportedly agreed in principle on a four-year deal for 8 million euros per year. Chinese clubs are showing great interest in footballers from the Spor Toto Super League. Apart from Gülüm, Beşiktaş also recently offloaded Senegalese international Demba Ba to Shanghai Shenhua over the summer transfer window. According to the Turkish media, a Chinese club has offered to purchase Argentine midfielder Jose Sosa from Beşiktaş for 12 million euros. However Beşiktaş are believed to be unwilling to sell him. Fenerbahçe also rejected an offer for Luis Nani by an undisclosed Chinese club for a 20 million euro transfer fee.
