Mesut Özil returns to form

Istanbul - Falling under fire from both Gunners fans and the media, Turkish-German midfielder Mesut Özil returned to form once again in Arsenal's 4-1 thrashing of 7th place Everton.Özil opened scoring for his side, as his 7th minute slotted shot ended his nearly month long goal draught. The attacker remained potent for the rest of the match as he contributed to both Arsenal's attacking and defensive game.He would go on to assist Olivier Giroud's 85th minute goal to top off what was already a top notch showing for his side. "It was important for Özil, as you want him to take his chance. He looked regenerated. He did the dirty work too," Manager Arsene Wenger said. "We had a quality performance from the first minute to the last. We were unlucky to be at 1-1 at half time."Arsenal currently sits third on the English Premier League table behind 2nd place Liverpool on goal point differential.
