Chinese cuisine Turkish people's least favorite choice
A nationwide survey analyzing Turkish people's perception on world and local cuisine has found that Chinese cuisine is the least favorite among locals. The survey results also show that celery is the least popular taste.
Active on social media, the survey platform "poltio.com" carried out the survey with around 92,000 entries. Around 20 percent said celery is the most tasteless vegetable followed by okra with 19 percent and broccoli with 17 percent.
Almost 65 percent of the surveyed participants said Chinese food does not suit their taste buds followed by Japanese cuisine. The survey also asked participants their favorite Turkish food in different categories. Künefe and baklava came first and second, respectively, as the favorite desserts after a good meal. Also, Turkish people preferred the doner kebab over a hamburger, according to the survey results.
