According to data released by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), exports have decreased by 6.4 percent ($12.8 billion) in November when compared to last year's figures. However, in the 11-month period since the start of 2014, it has increased by 4.4 percent to $144.2 billion in overall and in the last 12 months, it exceeded $157 billion. Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci highlighted that despite the troubles in Iraq, Russia and Ukraine, exports have increased in the last 11 months, and he linked this success to the high performance of Turkish exporters. Regarding the 30 percent decrease in crude oil prices, TİM Chairman Mehmet Büyükekşi, noted that as a result, Turkey is expecting improvements in its inflation rates and current account deficit in the last quarter of 2014 and throughout 2015.
