The Turkey Spinal Cord Paralytics Association (TOFD) will present their newest dance performance "Dream and Masks" on March 13 at Yunus Emre Cultural Center in Istanbul. The performance, whose art consultant is renowned Turkish ballet Tan Sağtürk, is the latest choreography to be staged by the art workshop of TOFD, founded in 1998. The show, which was inspired from true stories experienced by disabled people, is about modern man's ignorance towards the disabled and their issues and alienation of disabled people in society.The story of the performance aims to show that there is no obstacle that cannot be tackled with a little bit of empathy. "Dream and Masks" is performed by a total of 12 dancers including five orthopedically disabled dancers, one deaf dancer and six other dancers who have no physical disabilities. While the dancers put on their shows, a live orchestra accompanies them. The orchestra includes two blind musicians and is joined by Linda Kaso on the piano, Kerim Altıok on the flute and Selim Altıok on the mandolin.When: March 13Where: Yunus Emre Culture Center, Istanbul
