The Very Very French Music Festival is bringing a diverse array of music from France to Turkey for the first time. Co-organized with the French Cultural Center the festival will feature performances by the band Nouvelle Vague who will perform popular classics as well as their most recent musical releases at the MEB Şura Hall in Ankara tomorrow. The artists combine punk rock with new wave music and the joyous dance of bossa nova in their music to bring a mixture of intellectual depth and the rebellion of punk music music to their performances.
The band includes outstanding vocalists such as Camille, Phoebe Killder, Nadeah, Melanie Pain and Liset Alea with a repertoire which includes covers of cult music bands such asJoy Division, The Clash, Depeche Mode and Blondie. Nouvelle Vague has sold over a million album copies from 20004 to 2010 and performed on acclaimed stages around the world, including London's Royal Albert Hall, Paris' Olympia and Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl. The band quit recording albums in 2011 and is now featured in original shows and musicals directed by famous designer Jean Charles de Castelbajac.
