The Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah opens their new season for "Saturday Morning Concerts" with a live performance from pianist Anjelika Akbar on Oct. 15 at 11:00 a.m. With a tradition of hosting unforgettable balls and concerts for more than 120 years, the hotel will host numerous concerts throughout the season. Akbar's concert, titled "Likafoni," will offer a rich repertoire from Bach, Russian composers as well as her own compositions and covers. Akbar will also perform her compositions "Yalnız Çınar" (Lone Plane), dedicated to the late poet Nazım Hikmet, and her cover for "Çanakkale Türküsü" (the Gallipoli Ballad) for the first time at the Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah.When: Oct. 15Where: Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah, Istanbul
