45 years of marriage shattered with a letter

The UNIQ Open-air Stage summer screening program includes the film "45 Years." After being married for 45 years without any kids, Kate and Geoff Merce are getting prepared to celebrate their anniversary with a party. But a letter that Geoff receives will startle them both. According to the letter, a body was found in Switzerland. The body belongs to Geoff's former girlfriend Katya who fell into a glacier and died while they were jogging during a holiday in 1962. Kate continues the party preparations and the couple feels a romantic thrill ahead of the celebration. But Kate feels uneasy about Geoff's obsession with Katya's incident. Geoff starts smoking again, recalls his untroubled past with his former lover, looks for her photos in the attic, and bitterly criticizes the way his friends and colleagues are getting old. When Katya interrogates Geoff about Kate, she learns that he still loves her and would marry her if she were alive. When Geoff is out for dinner with his friends, Kate looks into the old stuff in the attic and finds Katya's pictures. In the pictures, Katya is pregnant when she died. As the celebration approaches, she starts digging into their past and foreshadowing their future.Where: UNIQ Open Air StageWhen: July 10 at 9 p.m.
