The Mall of Istanbul's MOI Stage will host a special performance of Islamic hymns, popular songs and the finest examples of Turkish music played with the Ottoman "çeng" (Turkish harp) and the modern harp. "Çeng" is a small traditional Turkish harp that lost its popularity following the 17th century. It was considered the instrument of Ottoman court music, the music of intellectuals, philosophical chats and poetry gatherings. The concert that will take place at the Mall of Istanbul will revive this instrument from its ashes. "Çeng," which fell into oblivion after the 17th century, comes to life in the hands of Şirin Pancaroğlu. Accompanied by prominent Turkish soloist Bora Uymaz and prominent saz players, Pancaroğlu promises a delightful night for music lovers.
