Bahçeşehir Schools will organize Turkey's first STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) biennial at the Istanbul Naval Museum from May 14-17 to raise awareness among children about the potential for a better world.The biennial, "Make a Better World," will display 45 works of science and art created by high school students around Turkey. The project will serve as a platform for children where they can blend their imaginations with science and art to create a source of inspiration for future generations. Students of Bahçeşehir Schools are upskilled with key methods which engage them in a scientific approach that emphasizes the use of technology and innovation with the STEM+A education system. These schools enable students around Turkey use what they learned through education to create artwork.The STEM biennial brings mathematics, engineering and the scientific processes together with creative design and will host students and adults who want to spend a weekend completely immersed in art and science. On May 14, three associate professors; Şirin Karadeniz, Güven Çatak and Sercer Çorlu, will hold a panel session titled, "Why STEM" which will be moderated by Assistant Professor Sinem Vatanartıran. Entrance to the STEM biennial is free of charge.
