Special night to encourage the disabled to dance

The dance company "Farklı Bedenlerle Dans" (Dance with Different Bodies), which aims to stand up against discrimination against disabled people, will perform on May 12 at Caddebostan Cultural Center as a part of Disabled Week that runs between May 10 and May 16 every year. Founded by performance artist and academic Tuğçe Tuna, "Farklı Bedenlerle Dans" will bring together disabled artists with able-bodied artists on the stage. Throughout this week, Kadıköy Municipality organizes various activities and events to raise awareness about the need to better integrate disabled people into society and break the physical, psychological and social barriers hindering disabled citizens from participating in society. Apart from panel sessions and performances called "Empathy Stages," disabled artists will also perform for Istanbulites. When: ThursdayWhere: Caddebostan Cultural Center
