Garanti Jazz Green to host Jeremy Pelt Quartet
One of the leading young trumpet players of the jazz world, Jeremy Pelt started his musical career at an early age as a member of the Mingus Big Band. Later collaborating with important music figures including Cliff Barbaro, Ravi Coltrane, Frank Foster, Winard Harper, Jimmy Heath, Vincent Herring, John Hicks, Charlie Persip, Ralph Peterson, Lonnie Plaxico, Bobby Short, Cedar Walton, Nancy Wilson and more, Pelt regularly shares the stage with Roy Hargrove Big Band, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, Duke Ellington Big Band, the Lewis Nash Septet and The Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band ft. Louis Hayes. As well as releasing 10 records under his own name, Pelt continues his performances all around the world as well as taking the stage at important jazz festivals. Internationally renowned with his performances and records, Jeremy Pelt was introduced in the Wall Street Journal by the legendary jazz composer and producer Nat Hentoff, and granted the "Rising Star" award for trumpet players by Downbeat magazine five years in a row. Following his "Tales, Musings and Other Reveries" album released in 2015, Pelt continues his performances in the United States and Europe.
