Carnaval Turco, the very first Turkish samba ensemble to be featured at the International Samba Festival, will perform for Istanbulites on Feb. 24 at Maslak Live. Founded in 2002 by Doğan Şen, the samba ensemble offers their audience the rhythms of Samba Batucada, which was born in the back alleys of Rio de Janeiro and introduced to the entire world through samba festivals. Carnaval Turco has given numerous concerts and attended various festivals, workshops and social responsibility projects around the world for the last 13 years. The ensemble, which turns the stage that they performed on into a carnival, stands out with their energy. Apart from their performances, Carnaval Turco offers people from different professions a chance to be trained and perform as a part of the ensemble.
