‘Children, Games and City' focus of painting exhibition

Gallery Selvin is hosting the third solo exhibition of Bulgarian artist Martin Krastev until Feb. 22. Krastev's latest exhibition focuses on the themes "Children, Games and City." Children and games are the motifs that are appreciated the most in Krastev's works. He reevaluates the games we used to play when we were children with a nostalgic atmosphere, and takes his audience to scenes where children happily entertain themselves. He reconstructs human nature in its most naive state and shows his audience that life continues despite all the wars and despair that persists. His works stress that mankind will always have happiness, beauty and love as long as there are children. Born in Sofia in 1953, the artist received his bachelor's degree at the Sofia Art Academy and completed his master's studies with Professor Al Poplilov. Since 1983, he has lived in Greece. When: Until Feb. 22 Where: Gallery Selvin
