The exhibition "Kadın Gözüyle Hayattan Kareler" (Life Shots from the Eyes of Women), organized for the ninth time this year, will be on display at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport from July 24 to Aug. 9. Featuring 44 photos, including the winners of the namesake competition, the exhibition will open in the airport's international terminal. The competition has become one of Turkey's most popular events since its first year, which took place in 2007. Since then, over 9,000 women have participated in the competition with more than 40,000 photographs. Under the leadership of Turkey's Photography Art Federation, the photographs were transferred to a digital platform for the first time this year. Contributing to Turkish women's social and cultural development, the competition received 4,945 photographs from 1,418 women. The competition also introduces a platform for women where they can freely express themselves and their perspectives toward life. With the theme "Hayata Dair" (About Life), the competition's jury committee included Professor Güler Ertan of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Professor Nihal Kafalı, head of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's Photography Department, Associate Professor Emre İkizler of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and photographer Mehmet Kısmet.
