The correspondences of Bedri Rahmi Eyüpoğlu, who left a mark on the history of Turkish art and literature, will be displayed at the İş Sanat Kibele Galley under the title "Biz Mektup Yazardık" (We Used to Write Letters). Eyüpoğlu created timeless works for the Turkish art scene and was not only a painter and poet but also a mosaic, ceramic and stained glass artist as well as a calligraphist, teacher and writer. The written correspondence between Eyüpoğlu and Turkey's outstanding artists, writers, poets, politicians and businessmen of the period from the 1930s to 1974 sheds light on the history of Turkish art, literature and academic studies, while revealing the strong bond between artists. Introduced for the first time, this valuable collection promises to be a sensation with the letters and envelops it features. Those who are curious about Eyüpoğlu's correspondence with Mari Gerekmezyan, Nâzım Hikmet, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, Fikret Muallâ, Âşık Veysel, Adalet Cimcoz, Orhan Veli, Fahrünisa Zeid, Abidin Dino, Reşat Nuri Güntekin, Cemal Tollu, Nurullah Berk, Arif Kaptan and many more, are kindly invited to the Kibele Gallery.
