Unforgettable figures of Turkish music will be commemorated with "Landlords, Pashas, Gentlemen and Ladies in Turkish Music" on March 13 at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall. We know that many musicians who gave life to Turkish music with their composition throughout history have been described with adjectives such as agha, pasha, gentleman and lady. These adjectives, which are used as a sign of respect in Turkish society, form the touchstones of Turkish music. When we put all these names together and study them in chronological order, a rich repertoire filled with beautiful compositions, as well as a historical timeline of Turkish music comes into being. Starting from this point, the concert will focus on compositions of musicians who were defined as agha, pasha, gentleman or lady. The performance, which will be composed of classical and neoclassical compositions of the musicians, will be enriched with short anecdotes from the composers and their life stories and supported with a barcovision screening. Küçük Mehmed Ağa, Nikoğos Ağa, Hacı Sadullah Ağa, Şakir Ağa, Nevres Paşa, Mahmut Celalettin Paşa, Ziya Paşa, Neyzen Yusuf Paşa, Hacı Arif Bey, Musa Süreyya Bey, Rıf'at Bey, Hacı Faik Bey, Leyla Hanım, Mehveş Hanım, Nimet Hanım and Leman Hanım are among the composers whose works will be performed at the concert.
