"Merz 3000 - The Future is Collage" is a group exhibition that shows the power of collage in contemporary art and celebrates its importance. Plato Sanat emphasizes the significance of collage and how it has the power to shape the future. The event features the work of nine different artists who use various methods of collage to produce art. This exhibition discusses the status-quo of collage for artists and its meaning. A selection of works by Bora Akıncıtürk, Deniz Ayral, Özge Enginöz, Buğra Erol, Mustafa Horasan, Seydi Murat Koç, Lara Ögel, Damla Özdemir and Arda Yalkın is showcased at "Merz 3000 - The Future is Collage." The exhibition is curated by Marcus Graf and is named after early period collage artist, Kurt Schwitters, and his living space, Merzbau (1922-1944), that he built for himself. As the design of the venue is based on the formal rules of collage and installation, the exhibition offers an alternative experience beyond "the white cube." Thanks to the structure of the venue, the exhibition has become a world of collage composed of visitors, ideas, interpretations and artwork.
