New season's first symphonic concerts free for art lovers

Mersin State Opera and Ballet (MDOB) presents the new season's first symphonic concerts to art enthusiasts free of charge at Mersin Marina Amphitheater on Sept. 13 and 20. The MDOB will stage "Offenbach: Orpheus," "Infernal Gallop," "Borodin:Polovtsian Dances," "Bizet: Carmen Overture" and "Verdi: Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves" on Saturday with conductor Ibrahim Yazıcı. During the concert, soloists Bülent Bezdüz, Hakan Bölükbası, Isıl Azaz, Zeynep Tatlıpınar Kagnıcı, Funda Hayfavi, Hasan Berk, Gülden Vurandemir, Emrah Gedik and Baran Taner will perform arias from famous opera pieces.
The second concert will present "Anatolian Rhapsody" featuring Bujor Hoinic's own folk music compositions on Sept.20. Nihan Evren, Bengi Ispir Özdülger, Mehmet Yılmaz and Onur Polat will take stage as soloists. Hoinic will also be the orchestra conductor. MDOB's Manager and Artistic Director Erdogan Sanal expressed his happiness to present two important symphonic concerts to local residents. He extended his thanks for the contribution of Marina Amphitheater officials and invited all to the upcoming concerts.
