'Karadayı' again tops the ratings


ATV's Monday night fever "Karadayı" topped the rating charts again this week, becoming the most viewed program amongst 100 others, hoarding about 25 percent of the ratings. The Twitter hashtag for the new episode, #enzorvedam, jetted to the top of the list of Turkey's trending topics. In the latest episode, Nazif Kara, main character Mahir's father, received the death sentence penalty. Upon the sentence, Mahir, played by Kenan Imrizalıoglu, swore to get his father and brother out of jail. Another knock-out drama from Turkish giant, Ay Yapım, "Karadayı" follows the story of Mahir, who is forced to take his father Nazif Kara's place as the head of the family when his father is imprisoned for a murder he did not commit. Mahir, determined to find the real killer, draws his reputable family into a war with the criminals. However, his quest for justice gets more entwined he meets Feride, the female judge who holds his father's fate in her hands. "Karadayı," rated the number one show in Turkey in 2014, with season two currently in production, has been sold to over 40 countries, marking one of the biggest successes for a Turkish TV production to date.Daily Sabah / Istanbul
