Arabic cultural center attacked with pig’s head in Germany

An Arabic cultural center in southern Germany's Rottal-Inn has been targeted in an anti-Islamic attack.

Unknown perpetrators used bolts to fasten a pig's head on the door of the building in the Bavarian town of Pfarrkirchen last Friday.

Police immediately launched an investigation, and are currently hoping for new leads from local residents, German media reported.

Experts identified 100 euros worth of damage at the site, while police gave further details regarding the ongoing probe.

The number of attacks on mosques and Muslim associations in Europe has seen a sudden increase in recent years. In almost all cases, the attacks were reported to have been organized by right-wing extremists.
