BRUSSELS – The European Commission has approved visa free travel for nationals from 19 countries, which will also eliminate existing visa requirements for EU citizens to travel to those countries.
Nationals from the Caribbean and Pacific island states, as well as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Peru and Colombia, will be able to visit the Schengen Area without a visa.
The proposal for 16 countries to travel to the EU countries without a visa requirement was made in November 2012, and three countries including the UAE, Peru and Colombia were added to the list later.
