ANKARA — The head of the Supreme Election Board (YSK) Sadi Güven has confirmed that the elections proceeded fairly and legitimately.

Turkish security officials have taken the necessary precautions to make sure that the March 30 polls went by undisrupted in accordance with the provincial governors' instructions.
