State is powerful, Gül says

ANAKARA — President Abdullah Gül casted his vote in Çankaya district of the capital Ankara.

President Gül said, "Today we are experiencing one of the best parts of democracy," and he added, "It was a little bit of a harsh election term. Now, Turkey should focus on its own agenda. All the citizens should know that our state is powerful and all its institutions are powerful."

First lady Hayrunnisa Gül also voted along with the president.
