Turkish schools to open on September 28, two weeks later than expected

Primary schools and high schools across Turkey are to open on September 28, two weeks later than planned, said Turkish premier Ahmet Davutoğlu in his speech on Thursday evening following the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) central executive committee meeting in Ankara.Touching upon the reason for the decision, he said that the government postponed the opening day of schools in order not to hinder tourism.
