Wall Street closed mixed on Monday as tech companies posted losses, but oil prices increased.
The Dow added 129 points to finish the day at 21,479 and the S&P rose five points to 2,429.
The Nasdaq, however, lost 30 points to end trading at 6,110.
Google's parent company Alphabet and Amazon each lost more than 1 percent.
Crude prices, on the other hand, gained nearly 2 percent.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was trading at $46.98 per barrel -- up 1.9 percent, while Brent crude was at $49.57 -- up 1.7 percent.
The stock market will be closed on Tuesday due to Independence Day in the U.S.
