The calendar-adjusted total industrial turnover index increased 8.5 percent in May compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on Friday.However, the seasonally and calendar-adjusted total industrial turnover index decreased 1.6 percent compared to the previous month.In the sub-sectors of industry, while the mining and quarrying index remained the same, the manufacturing index increased 8.8 percent in May compared to the same month last year.
