According to unofficial data reported by the Customs and Trade Ministry, the foreign trade deficit reached TL 4.7 billion ($1.7 billion) in April with a 35.9 percent decline, while the foreign trade volume dropped by 7.1 percent to TL 31.4 billion. Also, exports increased by 0.95 percent, reaching TL 13.3 billion, with imports decreasing 12.3 percent and reaching TL 18.11 billion in April compared to the same month of 2014.
