The Turkish embassy in Sanaa, the restive capital of Yemen, has been closed according to Turkey's foreign ministry.
The mission suspended its activities after "ensuring necessary security measures for Turkish citizens in Yemen," according to official sources on Monday.
The United States, United Kingdom and France made similar announcements last week.
Yemen's political crisis, instability, mass social protests and conflict between opposing parties across the country have caused serious security weaknesses, the Turkish statement said.
"The Turkish Embassy will restart its activities when security, public order, national dialogue and reconciliation based on legitimate state authority are established in Yemen," it added.
Turkey has reiterated a travel warning for its citizens which the Foreign Ministry issued on Saturday, calling on its citizens to immediately leave the country.
