The ongoing war in Syria can only end on the condition that every actor quits pretending to fight DAESH while following their own agenda in the country
The civil war in Syria is raging unabated as the Russians and Iranians create new complications in an already complicated situation. They are supporting the murderous Assad regime that is being kept alive artificially.
The United States has completely missed the real picture and is only concentrating on combatting the DAESH militants who have occupied large chunks of the country and are not only terrorizing the innocent people of the region but have created a terrorist menace all over the world.
The European Union sees the issue from a perspective of migrants from the region trying to invade their member countries. The EU does not want to concentrate on the real evil that is the Assad regime.
Turkey on the other hand is trying to keep a brave face as it is asked to absorb new waves of immigrants from Syria who are fleeing Russian airstrikes and the Assad regime also supported by Iranian mercenaries and Hezbollah militants. The fact that Turkey has already accepted about 2.7 million migrants from Syria and has spent $9 billion of taxpayer's money is only receiving halfhearted applause from the U.S. and the EU.
Turkey questions the fact that all these foreign forces coming to Syria from distant lands can operate so freely committing all kinds of atrocities while the world asks Turkey not to intervene in northern Syria to halt the murders committed by Russia, Iran and Assad as well as the Democratic Union Party (PYD) terrorists.
So if Turkey is asked to not send its military into the region then the international community has to come up with a solution that will dry up the swamp first in northern Syria and then in the rest of the country.
The Russians have come to these lands to fight DAESH. The Americans have armed the PYD and its fighting force the People's Protection Units (YPG) to combat DAESH as a land force. Yet it seems no one is fighting DAESH and all they are doing is trying to create more mosquitos in the Syrian swamp. The Russians are using their air power to hit the Free Syrian Army and thus help Assad survive and grab as much land as possible before a cease-fire comes into force while the PYD is grabbing chunks of land from the Syrian opposition and Turkmens to create a Kurdish enclave in northern Syria.
So people are driven out of their homes and they flock to the Turkish border. Then Turkey is required to give them shelter without making any fuss while the Russians continue colonizing Syria. Can any sensible person expect Turkey to watch and accept all this?
The world has to start considering the real issues in Syria rather than beating about the bush.
Everyone is pretending to be fighting DAESH as they all follow their own agenda in whatever is left of Syria. Can anyone expect the Turks to sit idle and accept what comes their way?
Luxembourg says if Turkey and Russia fight over Syria NATO should not be a part of this clash. Then we feel Turkey has the right to take all these refugees and dump them at the borders of Luxembourg and all the surrounding countries and let them cope with the mess. After all if we are denied cooperation and solidarity in NATO others should then face the consequences. Those who fail to dry up the swamp in Syria will also have to live with the consequences instead of making us suffer for their indecisiveness and inactivity.
