In this month's crisis report, the International Crisis Group delved into areas of conflict in all regions of the world. The most striking point in the report is that all the "frozen conflict" areas in the region, which begins from Eastern Europe and reaches the Middle East and Caucasia, have turned into "hot conflict" areas.The most important feature of these areas is that they are on commercial transit routes and energy corridors. At this very point, the report shows us that a hundred years later the capitalist system is experiencing a new sharing world war in 2014. However, this time the sharing war will not emerge as a total war among nation-states. In this process, peace and war will go hand in hand. We will not go through a total world war, but the region we live in will witness short-term barbarous wars that will render humanity helpless, as we are experiencing now.The process, which began with Israel's offensive against Gaza, has two different aspects. The powers that incite Israel to act in this manner are the same powers as those who staged a military coup in Egypt, tried their best to spark a new war with Kurds in Turkey and turn a blind eye to Assad's chemical massacre in Syria.As stated above, all this occurs in energy market areas between Europe and Asia. The second largest part of the frozen conflict areas is the territory that begins from North Africa and reaches Latin America, passing through the whole of Africa and the Atlantic. Similarly, all the conflict areas in Africa and Latin America are located on commercial transit routes. All of the events, including the military coup in Egypt and the actions of the Boko Haram Organization, are breaking out as a result of greed for energy. All the frozen conflict areas in between Ukraine and the East China Sea have rapidly turned into hot conflict areas while Africa and Latin America have heated up again also. How do we describe this power which has launched a series of local sharing wars and wants to establish a new dominance in energy and markets of the world? In short, this is finance capital of the 20th century - a combination of industry and military, which creates nation-states that grow with wars and nourish autarchic economies.Therefore, Israel's onslaught has gone far beyond being a local attack against Gaza alone; it symbolically indicates the beginning of a global offensive conducted by finance capital. If you pay attention, the Nagorno-Karabakh question, which remained dormant for a long while between Azerbaijan and Armenia, is now turning into a hot conflict. The process, which began with the attacks of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) and was followed by Israel's atrocity in Gaza, will continue as the Nagorno-Karabakh matter does. The paramilitary structure called ISIS, which is the new spring of the neocon-Zionist alliance in the Middle East, aimed at seizing oil and natural gas reservoirs in Mosul and Kirkuk. ISIS, later on, wanted to head toward Basra resources but encountered frustration. It had to stop when their true colors were revealed.What lies behind Israel's 'cleansing' in Gaza is that it wants to take total control of Levantine resources by crippling Turkey and keeping it away from both Iraqi and Levantine resources. Therefore, Iran, the mortal enemy of Israel, is waiting and keeping silent regarding the massacres in Gaza. The objective here is to exclude Turkey, which will take the initiative on the new energy integration.This is the southern gas corridor that is being constructed under the control of Turkey and Azerbaijan and will significantly change the economic and political structure of the Middle East and Europe when it reaches Europe through the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).For now, this plan is running like clockwork as long as the role of Turkey is omitted. Furthermore, Turkey's influence has been undermined as the south Mediterranean transit of this energy line for Israel is being reinforced. As well as extending the civil war in Syria, they pushed the paramilitary structures they created to Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and made this region more unstable.They are seeking fabricated excuses to prevent the KRG from exporting oil through Turkey. They do not object to Russia's dream of Eurasia and the annexation of Crimea. This is a bilateral game in which Germany plays the major role.Finally, the Israeli offensive started as the most important part of this game which has multifaceted targets. The second leg of the Israeli onslaught is to incite Armenia. Thus, two important frozen conflict areas in the Middle East and Caucasia will have the potential of evolving into endless wars.This situation will both impede Turkey's economic growth and the KRG's inclusion in the process. It will also prevent Azerbaijan from getting involved in the new expansion and union as a new energy and industrial country, independent from Russia and West. If Turkey and Azerbaijan begin economic cooperation through the southern gas corridor, this union will soon comprise Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. This will turn into a nightmare scenario for Germany, which is nowadays involved in a neocon-Zionist alliance, and will make Russia's blood run cold.The new trade balance, which will be under the control of Turkey, will deactivate Montreux as it will pass through Bosporus commercial transits and high-speed trains in Turkey. The war will be waged for these reasons. As you can notice, in this war, all roads lead to Istanbul and Ankara.
