The 24th International Adana Film Festival has released its poster featuring a female figure representing aesthetic, fertility and abundance. There is a sparkling boll over the figure and a film strip representing cinema around her.

The festival, which will be held from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1 this year, will give Golden Boll awards in five different categories: National Feature Film, International Feature Film, International Short Film, International Students Film and the Adana Short Film Marathon.

The honorary awards at the festival will be presented to voice actor Temel Gürsu, academic Sami Şekeroğlu, actor Şemsi İnkaya and actress Hümeyra. The National Feature Film Competition will also be held with the purpose of sus

taining Turkish cinema and increasing its competitiveness internationally.

This year some national categories are becoming international, and new categories will also aim to make the Adana Film Festival a world famous event.

The international parts of the festival in which 30 Golden Boll awards will be given are expected to attract as much attention as the national competitions, which have been supporting Turkish cinema for years.

During the festival, there will also be some previews from international cinema and Turkish films along with workshops, concerts and exhibitions.
