Six new movies debut this week


'Atomic Blonde'

Starring South African actress Charlize Theron, James McAvoy, John Goodman, Sofia Boutella and Bill Skarsgard, the action movie "Atomic Blonde" is one of the most challenging productions of the week.

Directed by David Leitch, the movie focuses on the adventures of Lorraine Broughton, one of the most skillful spies of the British secret service, MI6.

Written by Kurt Johnstad and inspired by the comic book titled "The Coldest City," the film was co-produced by Theron and A.J. Dix.

'Valerian'

Witten and directed by Luv Besson, the movie stars famous figures like Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Ethan Hawke, Clive Owen and pop singer Rihanna.

Inspired by the comic book titled "Valerian and Laureline," the science fiction thriller tells story that takes place in the 28th century.

Attracting attention for its visual effects, the movie is about Valerian and his assistant Laureline. They fight against a mysterious threat in an attempt to save "Alpha" city, where all races from over a thousand planets live peacefully.

'Churchill'

Written by Alex Von Tunzelmann, biography-drama "Churchill" takes the audience back to the years of the Second World War.

Directed by Jonathan Teplitzky, the movie focuses on British Prime Minister Winston Churchill's internal conflict and the political ambiance he was surrounded by during Normandy Landing.

Shot by the co-production of Nick Taussig and Piers Tempest, "Churchill" stars Brian Cox, Miranda Richardson, John Slattery, Ella Purnell and Julian Wadham in the leading roles.

'Ah-ga-ssi'

Inspired by the novel "Fingersmith," South-Korea production "Ah-ga-ssi" tells 1930s story that took place in Korea and Japan.

The thriller focuses on the story of a legatee noblewoman; a swindler who has his eyes set on her fortune, a bag-snatcher hired by the swindler and the uncle of the noblewomen.

Directed and written by Park Chan-wook, who is famous with the popular movie "Olddeuboi," Sarah Waters and Jeong Seo-gyeong, the movie stars Ha Jung-woo, Kim Min-hee, Kim Hae-sook, Cho Jin-woong and Kim Tae-ri.

'David and Goliath'

Directed by Wallace Brothers, "David and Goliath" stars Matt Berberi, Michael Wayne Foster, John Knox, Rodger Halston and Devin Brooke.

Written and produced by Jeffrey Giles, the movie focuses on the fight of David and Goliath. Goliath is a figure famous among the Palestine army as a fearsome figure and the fight is also mentioned both in the Quran and Torah.

'The Jungle Bunch'

Written and directed by David Alaux, French production "The Jungle Bunch" tells about the adventures of Maurice the penguin, who was raised by a tiger and lives in the jungle alongside all kinds of animals.

The music was composed by Olivier Cussac, while the Turkish dubbing was done by Ali Hekimoğlu, Arda Kavaklıoğlu, Selay Taşdöğen, Burçin Artut and Deniz Salman.
