Five films debut in Turkish theaters this week
Mon Roi (My King)
Directed by award-wining director Maiwenn Le Besco, "Mon Roi," starring Vincent Cassel, Emmanuelle Bercot, Louis Garrel and Isild Le Besco, focuses on an extraordinary relationship shuttle between sorrow, longing, passion and infidelity. The French production competed in the Cannes Film Festival and lead actress Emmanuelle Bercot won the Best Actress Award at the festival for her outstanding performance.
Jason Bourne
The much anticipated new film in the Jason Bourne series stars Matt Damon, Julia Stiles, Alicia Vikander and Vincent Cassel. Damon returns to his iconic role in the film, which was directed by Paul Greengrass who also directed "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum." The most dangerous former CIA operative is drawn out of hiding to uncover hidden truths about his past and the clinical trial that made him forget his past.
Ghostbusters
Cult film "Ghostbusters" returns to the screen with a new female cast, starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Adapted from the original story written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis in 1984, the film is directed by Paul Freig 30 years after the first film hit theaters. The film focuses on a band of ghostbusters - paranormal enthusiasts Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates, nuclear engineer Jillian Holtzmann and subway worker Patty Tolan - trying to stop a ghost invasion in Manhattan.
Bad Moms
Starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith, "Bad Moms" recounts the story of a group of mothers trying to do the best they can. When they are pushed to their limits and they get tired of all the "perfect mom rules," the moms decide to do a series of crazy things to break out of the conventional mom identity. The film was co-directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.
Worry Dolls
Directed by Padraig Reynolds, the horror film "Worry Dolls" stars Christopher Wiehl, Kym Jackson, Tina Lifford, Samantha Smith and Kennedy Brice. Worry dolls, which are commonly used in South America, are believed to relieve people of their sins and evils after people tell their sins to the dolls and destroy them. Police officer Matt discovers a box of worry dolls in the house of a serial killer and takes the box with him. However, his daughter, Chloe, finds the dolls and begins selling her handmade jewelry along with the dolls as an accessory. As people buy these dolls, Chloe falls under an evil influence and begins attacking people. Matt has very little time to save his daughter and put an end to the chaos that has taken over his town.
