Renowned Turkish actor Yılmaz Erdoğan won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) with his performance in Russell Crowe's latest film "The Water Diviner." Erdoğan played a Turkish officer "Major Hasan" in the film released in December of last year. "The Water Diviner" was a nominee in eight different categories. The award ceremony took place in Sydney, Australia. Set in 1919, the epic drama tells the story of Australian farmer Joshua Connor, who travels to Turkey in the aftermath of the Gallipoli War to search for his three missing sons.
