The gong sounds for gender equality at Borsa Istanbul

Speaking at the gong ceremony organized by the Borsa Istanbul stock exchange, First Lady Emine Erdoğan made a speech in honor of International Women's Day.
The ceremony called for the business world to improve gender equality and support women's participation in the economy. Beginning her speech by celebrating all women on International Women's Day, Erdoğan said it was a strong message for Turkey that this meaningful event aiming to strengthen women was held at the heart of the economy, and stressed that it was promising for the country's future when business leaders improve their company politics in order to advance and promote gender equality.
Congratulating the leaders who signed the seven principles seeking to strengthening women, Erdoğan said the principles such as providing more positions for women as senior executives and treating men and women fairly without discriminating based on sex will ensure a better world.
