Bimeks, Turkey's first technology retailer, recently announced that it signed a disclosure agreement in order to use opportunities to purchase a technology retail firm operating in Germany.

Speaking to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company announced: "Our company has signed a disclosure agreement with inHERA Capital [inHERA Institutional Investment Consultant Inc.] and Angermann M&A International A.G. in order to take advantage of the opportunities to purchase a technology retail firm operating in Germany."

According to Bimeks' official website, the company operates 140 stores in 58 provinces with a total retail area of 135,000 square meters. It offers a wide range of products to consumers from information technology products to consumer electronics such as home appliances, personal care products and accessories, many of which are considered basic necessities for our modern lifestyles.

Listed on the Borsa Istanbul since 2011, Bimeks successfully completed the acquisition of two technology retailer chains in 2013 and 2014, Electro World of Dixons Retail of the United Kingdom and Darty of France, which had operated in Turkey since 2008. As a result, Bimeks is now the second-largest and most dynamic technology superstore chain in Turkey.
