The government found alternative markets and hence solved the issues regarding the export of the seven products banned by Russia.
Food, Agriculture and Stockbreeding Minister Faruk Çelik said the fresh fruits and vegetables, sunflowers, cut flowers, seafood, poultry products, incubating eggs and dairy products that were denied entry into Russia by its customs agency will be directed to other countries. Çelik stressed that they are closely following the crisis with Russia, and they are working together with relevant authorities to mitigate the damage suffered by producers and exporters.
Some of the products banned by Russia have been delivered to various European markets, mainly Sweden. Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkçi said they are taking steps to compensate the loss of market share of related sectors, and they are now facilitating procedures for withdrawing products that have been delivered to Russia, such as with a tax extension and duty exemptions as well as export loan forgiveness.
