The consortium that includes Turkey's TAV Airports Holding (TAV) has submitted pre-qualification credentials for a contract that encapsulates the right to operate and maintain five regional airports in the Philippines. According to TAV's written statement released on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the joint venture group of TAV, Aeroports de Paris Management (ADPM) - a subsidiary of Aeroports de Paris (ADP) - and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC) has applied for the contract that includes the operation and repair maintenance rights of Bacolod-Silay, Iloilo, Davao, Laguindingan and New Bohol-Panglao airports as a part of a private-public partnership project. The five airports served around 9 million passengers in 2014. ADPM and TAV will have a 40 percent share in the consortium together while the MPIC group will have a 60 percent share.

The statement also said that member companies in the consortium decided to act together in other potential airport privatization projects that might be launched in the Philippines in the future. TAV İnşaat was chosen as the world's largest airport construction company in 2014 by Engineering News Record (ENR), a prestigious publication in the construction sector.
