Kuwait's richest independent businessman Jassem el-Khorafi dies on flight from Turkey

Kuwait's one of the richest businessmen, Jassem al-Khorafi, has passed away as a result of a heart attack while on plane during his flight home from Turkey on Friday.
Al-Khorafi, 75, previously served as the finance minister from 1985 to 1986 and as the speaker of parliament for 10 years from 1999 to 2011.
The businessman was leading the Al-Khorafi Group, founded in 1956 by his father Mohammed al-Khorafi, which operates businesses in the financial, telecommunications and industrial sectors. The al-Khorafi Group is valued at an estimate of more than $10 billion.
