Industrial lobbying comes to Turkey

An international lobbying activity is demanded for products labelled “Made in Turkey”. CEO of Gedik Holding, Hulya Gedik evaluated the Turkish industry.

Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology announced that economic growth will shoulder the foreign demand. With this aim, the ministry focuses on works that will increase the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry and try to enhance the export markets. Industrialists think that Turkey's biggest problem is promotion.

CEO of Gedik Holding, Hulya Gedik stated that a lobbying activity is required in order to appreciate Turkish manufactured products in the foreign market. "Turkey's ranking among the developing countries affects the exporters negatively. So, the prices of our products fall. This decreases our profit margin. We have to be more expressive regarding the industrial activities of our country", she said.

Hulya Gedik stated that Turkish factories outscore Europe. "We completed almost half of our 250 million lira factory. We are now planning to invest in the field of welding machines. The project will be completed in 2014 and this investment will set an example for Europe", she said. She also informed that they have the capacity to supply equipment for the manufacture of a Turkish automobile.
