Çalık Holding Executive Board Chairman Ahmet Çalık recently expressed that Turkey needs to develop strategies in regards to the security of energy supply and stated, "We are a nation that imports 75 percent of our total energy consumption. Therefore, we need to diversify the countries and routes from which we import. We also consider renewable energy and nuclear energy to be important."

Explaining that with the projects to come nearly six to seven percent of the entire global oil delivery will be conducted through Turkey, Çalık said, "If we are able to reliably provide these resources to Europe, then our geopolitical position will become priceless.
