Turkish Airlines distributes Agos newspaper free of charge

Turkish Airlines (THY) has begun distributing Agos newspaper, the Armenian daily whose editor-in-chief Hrant Dink was assassinated in 2007, free of charge.

No demand for alcohol on domestic flights

Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that it will no longer be serving alcoholic beverages on domestic flights other than to destinations Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Ankara, Bodrum and Dalaman due to the limited demand for business class and alcohol coupled by the difficulties posed by logistics.
The THY announcement went on to point out that the airline has been selected as Europe's best airline due to both the initiatives taken as well as service quality. "The offerings we provide on our flights have been considered to be the best in the world and our quality service has always won the approval of our passengers," states THY.
