5 female artists work on tranformation of narrative

Aiming to turn daily life into an enriching journey, blending it with art, #walktoBLACK continues its support to art with long-term projects. Prepared in this context, "The Blended Exhibition: A Matter of Narrative" exhibition was curated by Gözde Filinta and can be visited until May 26.

"The Blended Exhibition: A Matter of Narrative" scrutinizes the concept of narration and the change this concept has in every telling with the works of five young artists: Cansu Topaloğlu, Meltem Şahin, Pınar Marul, Selver Yıldırım and Sinem Uysal. The exhibition, which was organized as part of the #walktoBLACK events, is hosted by Room & Rumours Art Department, which aims to support local art and artist.

In the exhibition, Cansu Topaloğlu presents her digital artworks and Meltem Şahin participates with illustrations. Pınar Marul showcases her statues, Selver Yıldırım presents her paintings and Sinem Uysal exhibits her video art.

Even if a story is told many times, it is still authentic, just like every mind is unique. Every narrative is a retelling. "A Matter of Narrative" tries to present an approach that accepts the individualism of narration, imagining the moment when the story is told in the best way. It accepts the changes through the narrative of site-specific works.
