On Thursday, Jan. 25, visitors will be able to explore Refik Anadol's installation, "Virtual Archive," until 10:00 p.m. and attend the conference "L'imagination au pouvoir" (Power to the Imagination) at 7:00 p.m. and enjoy discounts at Robinson Crusoe 389 at SALT Galata.
Available for interactive explorations via a virtual reality headset, Refik Anadol's installation provides users an opportunity to fly through a 3-D data point cloud that presents more than 1.7 million documents in the SALT Research archive collections as a network and study any selected virtual document on Floor-1.
Taking place as part of this year's "La Nuit des Idées" (The Night of Ideas) program, the conference will investigate the link between imagination, creativity and politics in the context of the 1968 events.
Organized in collaboration with SALT and the French Cultural Center in Istanbul, the program will be held in Turkish and French with simultaneous translations in both languages at SALT Galata's Auditorium. The conference is open to all.
