Arab poet Adonis cooperates with Turkish painter


Bringing the verses of world-renowned Syrian poet Adonis together with the colors of Turkish painter Habip Aydoğdu, the exhibition "Blood Red" has opened in the western province of İzmir. The opening marked the new season at Folkart Gallery, the largest art gallery in Turkey.Poet Adonis, also known as Ali Ahmad Said Esber, a living legend in Arabic literature, and painter Aydoğdu, whose originality has earned him a unique place in Turkish art, join forces for an exhibition featuring 50 artworks. Adonis attended the inauguration and addressed the art lovers present, saying he is glad to be in İzmir despite all the tragedies happening in Arabic countries, and sending his regards to all people who try to keep peace alive in the shadow of war.The unique collaboration presented in "Blood Red" can be visited until Dec. 22.
