We are seeing the last days of summer. I did an Internet search for the last holidays, as these golden days pass us by. This time I was looking for something other than a boutique hotel or a luxury holiday camp. I checked my phone, and while chatting with a British friend who was calling from London, she told me of her experience in Kalkan this summer. She apparently rented a villa using villaburada.com. Thinking that this is exactly what I wanted, I decided to have a similar experience. I rented a wonderful villa in Kalkan via the same website with six friends. We reached Kalkan after a three-hour drive from Dalaman Airport.
On our way, we had Antalya's renowned burnt-milk ice cream and piyaz with tahini. Burnt-milk ice cream is made of burnt milk stuck to the bottom of the pot. It's white and has a burnt taste. Piyaz with tahini, on the other hand, makes an interesting combination.
After tasting various delights, we arrived at our villa. We were at Hillside Villas of the API Group in Kalkan. Hillside Villas is a luxury, boutique site. The villas have an absolutely fantastic view, and each one has its own swimming pool. Designed with the eternity pool concept, the pools have a stunning view joining sea and island views. Imagine the landscape of the Gulf of Kalkan with the various tones of blue and green, islands, mountains and sailboats on the sea. Right in front of you is a specially designed swimming pool. Wicker tables on its veranda, a separate barbecue area and shower and Jacuzzi area are other details in the garden. Breathe the fresh air, do yoga or let the sunshine heal your body.
Every luxury was offered in each of the four-room villas, particularly the parental suites.
The villas offer a comfortable environment with amenities ranging from a dressing room to a sea view Jacuzzi inside the room. The landscape is gorgeous. You can have a bird's eye view of Kalkan. Thanks to the seamless window design, you can enjoy this wonderful view without leaving your bed. Cream-colored marble, furniture in pastels and the light hues used in the villas make you feel you are in a summerhouse indeed. Everything from porcelain dishes to built-in kitchen appliances provides anything you may need in a villa in summer. Furthermore, the begonias and ivy in the garden provide a peaceful and natural atmosphere.
During our stay in Kalkan, I had the chance to meet Tamer Yaşar, one of the partners of API, who is a very energetic, young, visionary businessman. Thus, I was able to get to know the company that offers more than 250 luxury villa alternatives in the most popular holiday spots, such as Kalkan, Kaş, Bodrum, Göcek, Alanya, Belek, Didim, Dalaman, Fethiye, Antalya, Girit and Mikanos. Yaşar said that they would be able to address guests with various budgets with their wide range of villa options despite the fact that they mainly offer VIP services. Pointing out that they host tourists from many countries, primarily the United Kingdom and Arab countries, Yaşar said that it is particularly large groups that prefer the company. He added that they offer the highest quality Turkish hospitality with services such as airport transfer, drivers, tourist guides, chefs, catering and childcare services. I would like to thank the API Group for presenting such an important service to the Turkish tourism industry and advise you to have a look at villaburada.com. There are plenty of options for every budget.
If you happen to travel to Kalkan, do not forget to visit Kaputaş Beach, which is very popular in promotional videos for Turkey. I have not seen this many hues of turquoise together anywhere else. You can also have a boat trip on the Kekova Gulf and hear stories about ancient cities of the Byzantine and Roman period while enjoying the sea or taste Mediterranean appetizers and fresh seasonal fish in restaurants in Port Kekova at sunset. To sum up, you can surrender yourself to the arms of nature, pleasure and taste in these last days of summer.
