Africa’s voice in Istanbul Modern

Istanbul Modern Cinema is opening its doors to African cinema, considered the youngest continent to embark on the art and yet still has contributed significantly to the international film industry.

Beginning tomorrow and running until January 22nd, Istanbul Modern Cinema will be showing a selection of ten films representing the African cinema genre to film lovers. Illinois University Professor Mahir Şual has composed the selection which includes Mahamat Saleh Haroun's Dry Season and Jean- Pierre Bekolo's The Bloodiest.
