Ataman granted award by the european cultural foundation

Modern artist and director Kutluğ Ataman has been awarded the European Cultural Foundation’s Routes Princess Margriet award, which is given to those whom have contributed to Europe’s cultural diversity through the arts, activism or philosophy.
Selected by the jury due to his mastery of blending personal stories with political issues, Ataman shares the prestigious honor with Sarajevo artist Sejla Kameric. Ataman and Kameric will receive their awards during a ceremony held in Belgium capital Brussels on February 8th. In addition to the award, both artists will also be presented with 25,000 Euros. The artists' works will be on display on February 9th in Brussels and on February 10th and 11th in Rotterdam, Holland.
